Event Details:

Mushrooms are a fascinating part of our conservation area, from corrals to cups, puff balls to turkey tail, come explore Ken Reid Conservation Area and see how many species you can find. During the hike, you will learn simple identification tips and interesting facts about fungi along the way. Rebecca has a keen eye for fungi and is looking forward to sharing her knowledge with everyone.
The Mushroom ID Hike will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. with registered participants meeting at the main parking lot, located near the dog park, at Ken Reid Conservation Area. The guided experience is part of our 2nd Kawartha Fall Fest. The event is free, but registration is required as space is limited to 15 participants to ensure an intimate and interactive experience.
