Exploring Climate Change Impacts at Ken Reid Conservation Area - This event has already occurred
Event Details:
Unlock the mysteries of climate change and its impact on our natural environment with our guided hike at Ken Reid Conservation Area. Led by Forestry and Landowner Services, Colleen Cathcart, this immersive experience invites participants to witness firsthand the effects of climate change on local ecosystems and biodiversity.
As we traverse the trails of Ken Reid Conservation Area, you'll discover how rising temperatures, changing precipitation patterns, and other environmental shifts are reshaping the landscape. From altered plant communities to shifts in animal behavior, each observation provides valuable insights into the complex interplay between climate and ecology.
Together, we'll explore how individuals and communities can take action to protect our planet and build a more sustainable future for generations to come.
Cost is $12.00 plus HST for adults and $6.00 plus HST for kids 12 and under.
We will be meeting at the Main Parking lot (dog park parking lot).
